Scriptural support for Attachment Therapy
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
Remember, these children were provoked to anger in the past, and now our goal is to diminish the anger, and train and instruct them in new core values.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears has not been made perfect in love. John 4:18
Fear is the basic emotion which fuels the rage in children suffering from Reactive Attachment Disorder. Your love as parents, will overcome the fear that was unfairly placed in this childs heart. This program will train you to use your love to reattach to the heart of your child.
Do not be conformed to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of the mind. Romans 12:2
The goal of the attachment work is to change the negative messages that the child has received, and replace them with hope, trust, and love.
For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare not for calamity; to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
This is a promise to both parent and child that Gods plans are for a future of hope, joy and love. |
